Our Programs

Infant Room (6 weeks - 18 months)

HCC values the importance of the early years of your child's life and development. Our Infant classroom provides a safe environment to nurture your child and meet all of their needs. We base our curriculum on Rhode Island Early Learning and Development Standards (RIELDS) and support it using the creative curriculum to help your child reach his or her goals such as rolling over, crawling, walking, waving hello, and learning baby sign language. Our teachers listen and communicate with the parents so each childs' needs are met. We base each childs' schedule on their daily needs. To help promote development we provide purposeful play through sensory activities, fine and gross motor play, story time, outdoor play, music and movement, and sign language.

Toddler Room (18 months - 36 months)

HCC provides an environment for toddlers that is ideal for learning and exploring. Our teachers work with the parents to reach important milestones such as potty training and language development. We base our curriculum on Rhode Island Early Learning & Development Standards (RIELDS) and support it using the creative curriculum to help your child reach his or her goals through fine and gross motor activity, sensory play, story time, water & outdoor play, free play and creative arts. Teachers utilize Teaching Strategies to observe and document each child's development to create new learning opportunities and ensure that your child is reaching their developmental milestones.

Preschool (3-4yrs)  & Pre Kindergarten (4-5yrs)

HCC provides an environment for Preschool and Pre Kindergarten that is perfect for exploring and growing. Our teachers work with the parents to reach important milestones and prepare their child for Kindergarten. We base our curriculum on Rhode Island Early Learning & Developmental Standards (RIELDS) and support it using the creative curriculum to help your child reach his or her goals through fine and gross motor activity, sensory play, story time, water & outdoor play, and free play, and creative arts. Teachers utilize teaching strategies to observe and document each child's development to create new learning opportunities and ensure that your child is reaching their developmental milestones and their readiness for kindergarten.

Before and After-school Care (Kindergarten - 5th Grade)

During the school year, our before and after school program runs from 6:45am -5:30 p.m. The school bus picks the children up at the center and takes them to Fogarty Memorial Elementary School. This same bus also drops the children off here in the afternoon.  Private transportation is now available through Harmony Child Care to West Glocester Elementary School, Clayville Elementary, William Winsor, Anna McCabe and St. Phillips.

Summer Camp (Kindergarten - 5th Grade)

Our Summer camp program offers many fun activities to keep your child engaged throughout the summer. We attend Pulaski Park every Tuesday and Thursday, out of house field trips every Wednesday, and a variety of different playgrounds on Mondays or Fridays. The children also participate in a team building activity once a week. All of the above keeps the children engaged and hold their interest to keep them learning.
